Cards 1.1 for Mac (and soon iOS)
Cards 1.1 for Mac has been approved for release. This release's big feature is the ability to drag in a list of ingredients from other text documents (much like could be done with steps already), be they web sites or word processor documents and we will split it out into the format used in Cards database. We do our best to detect amount unit, ingredient name, but if you have any issues with a particular website, recipe, or other document, let us know so that we can investigate ways to continue improving this feature.
Cards 1.1 for iOS is awaiting approval, and also has this feature, and added the step split on paste to it as well. iOS also had some changes to improve the experience during cooking, recipes can only be edited in edit mode, to prevent accident edits while trying to swipe about to see the next step or ingredient. Additionally it has an option in the settings to keep the screen awake despite the system setting. Settings got moved inside the app for easier access, and for some new features, including iTunes file sharing import and an Export all option. Dynamic font size is supported throughout the UI, and will allow those with better or worse sight to change their setting in iOS's Preferences (General -> Text Size).
On iPhone/iPod Touch, ingredient editing is now done in list, instead of a separate screen.
Both Mac and iOS gained various bug and crash fixes, print formatting improvements, as well as additional unit types in the other category.
